New Delhi: This time the BRICS conference is going to be held in Brazil. In this conference, the leaders of the BRICS summit will be strongly condemned by the leaders of the countries. The manifesto of these leaders will also include a call to take a firm stand to unite and face terrorism in accordance with India’s expectation. Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Dmmu Ravi has given this information. He said that the things that will be said about terrorism in the manifesto of BRICS leaders will be “satisfactory” for us.
PM Modi on a visit to five countries
Actually, PM Modi will take part in the BRICS summit to be held at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Explain that this conference will be held on July 6 and 7. After this, India will preside over the BRICS Group next year. PM Modi has previously visited five countries from 2 to 9 July, including Brazil. Other countries that PM Modi travel include Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina and Namibia. The purpose of this visit of PM Modi is to promote bilateral cooperation in areas such as important minerals, defense and safety, trade, digital public infrastructure and energy.
Countries are sensitive to Pahalgam attack
Secretary (Economic Relations) in the Ministry of External Affairs, Dumu Ravi said that PM Modi’s participation at the BRICS summit will be an expression of India’s solidarity. This will be a big opportunity for him to join the leaders of ‘Global South’. He said, “There is no contradiction in the approach that the members have adopted on their consent, sympathy and solidarity with the attitude of India on Pahalgam. I think it is well expressed in the announcement of the leaders and all the members are very sensitive to the matter.”
Iran-Israel struggle will also be mentioned
Dmmu Ravi said, “There is also a widespread understanding on how to deal with the threat of terrorism and no one should be spared in dealing with it. I think it is understood very well.” He said, “When you get the manifesto, you will see that its language is satisfactory for us.” The Iran-Israel struggle is also expected to be mentioned in the BRICS manifesto. Ravi said that four solid “achievements” are expected to be achieved from the BRICS summit, including global rule and artificial intelligence, a masoda manifesto on climate finance, and a partnership for the eradication of socially determined diseases.
Discussion on trade in national currencies
When asked about Chinese President Xi Chinfing and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision not to attend the summit, he said that it would be an important platform for India to carry forward the interests of ‘Global South’. He indicated that the issue of business transactions in national currencies at the BRICS summit can also be discussed. He said, “The countries of ‘Global South’ are also looking for alternatives. This is not an issue of ‘de-dollars’. Countries are also doing business transactions in national currencies. It has been happening for a long time.” He said that BRICS is agreed to how important it is to have an alternative mechanism to start trade and projects in national currencies. (Input-PTI)
