After being dropped for the last 5 games, Fakhar Zaman made a strong comeback into the ODI side and helped Pakistan get a much-needed win over Bangladesh to remain alive in the World Cup 2023.

Now, with Abdullah Shafique performing well and Imam-ul-Haq underperforming, and with Pakistan in a must-win situation, Fakhar Zaman was recalled in the side to add power at the top against Bangladesh in Kolkata.

He did exactly what was asked of him as the left-hander cracked 81 runs in 74 balls, effectively sealing the chase of 205 runs with a 120-run opening stand with Shafique in 20 overs. Zaman was aggressive right from the start of his innings as he smashed 7 sixes and 3 fours in his entertaining knock.
