Pakistan: Another trouble on Imran Khan, ‘Polygraph’ test will be held in this case
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan
Lahore: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan is seen in a lot of difficulty. The Anti -Terrorism Court (ATC) has given permission to the police to conduct the ‘polygraph’ test (lie detection) and ‘photogramatric’ test (face and voice analysis) in cases related to the violence of May 9. These tests will be conducted against Khan for 12 terrorism cases against Khan. These cases are related to violent protests furious after Imran Khan’s arrest on May 9, 2023.
What did the court official tell?
A court official said on Thursday, “ATC-first judge Manjar Ali Gill on Wednesday accepted the request of the prosecution and gave permission to the police within 12 days of Imran Khan’s Polymade and photogramatic tests within 12 days in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail in 12 terrorism cases including the attack on Lahore Core Commander House.
Khan’s lawyer protested
Imran Khan’s lawyer Salman Safdar opposed the prosecution’s request and questioned the police’s decision to conduct ‘polygraph’ and ‘photogramatric’ tests 727 days after the 9 May incident. He said that the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-Insaf (PTI) party has already been granted bail in 21 cases of terrorism. Special Prosecutor Rana Azar argued that the Supreme Court has allowed such tests to meet the investigation requirements, although Khan has refused to conduct this test in jail without the presence of his lawyer.
