Mike Hesson Slams Mirpur Pitch: Pakistan coach Mike Hessen has described the Mirpur pitch as slow and low. He says that the pitch was not of international level. Hessen believes that it is not right to give such a pitch to the visiting team. Pakistan had to face defeat in the first T20 match against Bangladesh on Sunday.

The entire Pakistani team was just 110 runs, which was their lowest score ever in T20. Bangladesh won this match by seven wickets. After the match, Angry Tamtamaye Hessen spoke to the media. He said in the press conference, “I think the pitch is not ideal for anyone.” Teams are trying to prepare for the Asia Cup or T20 World Cup. This is not acceptable. This can not be an excuse for the decisions we took in batting. But this pitch does not live up to international level standards.

The pitch is not of international level

Hessen believes that such pitches will not prove to be helpful in preparing Bangladesh for the difficult challenges of foreign tours. Continuing his point, he said, good cricket players require good wickets to do better. Honestly, some good pitches were seen during BPL. But when international cricket is being played, this pitch is not of that level.

I do not think such pitches will help Bangladesh when they play abroad. Also, batting first in such circumstances is also very challenging. When you are not clear whether the score of 100, 130 or 150 runs will be sufficient or not, then it becomes difficult to take a decision.

I do not think this pitch is beneficial for anyone. But this does not mean that you compromise on performance. It is important to show better games on any kind of pitch. We will see and analyze it as a team.
