Terrorists killed in Operation Mahadev
New Delhi: One of the terrorists killed under Operation Mahadev in Jammu and Kashmir, Tahir Habib’s ‘Janaza-Gab (called the funeral in the absence of someone)’ Pakistan-occupied Kashmir was carried out in his village in Kashmir, the incident confirms the second time that the Pahalgam terrorist incident of April 22 was the hand of Pakistani terrorists, in which 26 civilians were killed.
The videos and photos posted on the telegram channels are seen gathering for the final prayer of former Pakistani soldiers of Pakistan’s Khai Gala and a terrorist of Lashkar-e-Taiba. But Tahir’s Janaza-Gab took an unexpected turn when local Lashkar Commander Rizwan Hanif tried to join it.
Tahir was killed in Operation Mahadev
According to the news published in the Times of India, Tahir’s family refused to attend the funeral of Lashkar, but Hanif stubbornly insisted, which led to a conflict situation. Tahir’s involvement with Lashkar and his role in Pahalgam attack made him part of the ‘A grade’ terrorist group. The killing of two other people during Operation Mahadev in Srinagar last week was a major success for the Indian security forces.
A source said that during the funeral, “Lashkar operatives threatened the mourning with a gun, causing resentment to the villagers. The residents of Khai Gala, who were apprehensive about terror and fundamentalism for a long time, are now planning a public boycott to oppose terrorist recruitment.”
Pakistan’s poll opened
This development is important as it not only highlights the increasing resistance among Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) residents against Pakistan’s sponsored terrorist system, but also confirms that the impact of operation vermilion run in response to the Pahalgam attack is also felt beyond the boundary. The source further said, “A Lashkar commander is facing public outrage and is being forced to escape, which is a proof of the changing situation in the region.”
Who was Tahir Habib
Tahir’s past has been associated with Islamic Jamiat Talaba (IJT) and Student Liberation Front (SLF) before joining the Pakistani Army. The Sadozai Pathan community that Tahir belongs to has a rich history of resistance. The community came from Afghanistan in the 18th century and played an important role in the Poonch rebellion. For this reason, Tahir also got the nickname ‘Afghani’, from which he was known in the intelligence record.
