DGMO of India and Pakistan had a conversation on the evening of May 12
The hotline was discussed between the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of the two countries at 5 pm on May 12 amid the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan. In this conversation, various aspects of consent between the two sides were discussed on May 10 to stop military action and firing. India’s DGMO on the hotline was Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai and Pakistan’s DGMO General Qasim Abdullah.
In this conversation, issues related to continuing ceasefire were discussed and it was said that both sides should not fire a single bullet. It also said that no aggressive and hostile action should be initiated against each other.
The conversation also agreed to consider immediate measures to ensure a decrease in the number of soldiers from both sides boundaries and advance areas. After a conversation between the two DGMOs on Saturday, an agreement was announced to stop military action and firing.
