The statement said that Shahbaz was in a warm and cordial atmosphere with Rubio. During this conversation, Prime Minister Sharif greeted US President Donald Trump and praised his “adventure leadership”. He also praised the active diplomacy of External Affairs Minister Rubio, which helped to reach the ceasefire agreement between Pakistan and India.

India has said earlier that only PoK will be talked about

Sharif said that President Trump has a positive attitude towards Pakistan. This has strengthened the possibilities of long -term peace in South Asia. This can be possible only through meaningful dialogue between India and Pakistan. During this time Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s desire to negotiate with India on issues like Jammu and Kashmir, Indus Water Treaty, Trade and Terrorism. “However, India has already made it clear that it will communicate on only two topics with Pakistan-the return and terrorism of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK).

Prime Minister Sharif said that during the talks, the situation in West Asia, especially the Iran-Israel crisis, was also discussed. This serious crisis should be resolved peacefully through dialogue and diplomacy. (Language)
