At the same time, entry of Pakistani flag ships into Indian ports was banned.

Ship came from Iraq

Actually, Iraqi was taking a bitumen in Karwar, the Iraqi ship, who left from Al Zubair in Iraq. The senior official said the ship reached Karwar port in Karnataka with a crew of 15 Indian citizens, a Pakistani and two Syrian citizens. Senior officials said that according to the standard inspection protocol and strict surveillance, the presence of a Pakistani and Syrian citizen on the ship led to a security reaction from the Port officials and the coastal security police. Subsequently, the mobile phones of the three persons were seized through the captain of the ship, so that their communication could be banned. Pakistani citizens and Syrian citizens were kept in the ship for two days, while the goods were being removed.

Increased security

The port official said, “Although international cargo ships often have members of the crew of various countries, they are generally not allowed to land on Indian ports without any particular approval. In this case, standard restrictions were implemented in view of the current security scenario. Meanwhile, coastal security police inspector Nischal Kumar said, “Individuals were instructed not to use mobile phones and were sent back with the ship. The coastal surveillance has been increased and sensitive areas are being monitored with the coastline.”
