Pakistan’s restlessness for talks with India, now after America, Shahbaz also recommends Saudi Arabia
Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Islamabad: After India’s Operation Sindoor, Pakistan is desperate for talks with New Delhi. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is so restless that he is recommending from various countries to get a conversation with India. Just a few days ago, Shahbaz had appealed to America’s Foreign Minister Marco Rubio to make him talk to India. Now he has made a similar recommendation from Saudi Arabia.
Shahbaz’s statement
Shahbaz Sharif has given a big statement about relations with India. He has said that his country is ready to have “meaningful talks” on all pending issues including Jammu and Kashmir, water disputes, trade and terrorism. He said this during a telephone conversation with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Pakistan softened after Operation Sindoor
The conversation between Shahbaz and Crown Principal of Saudi Arabia took place at a time when the increased tension between India and Pakistan has been almost two months. The tension began on 22 April after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 26 people lost their lives. India had a surgical strike on terrorist organizations in Pakistan responsible for this attack. After this, tension in relations between the two countries increased further.
Now Pakistan is talking about peace
According to ‘Radio Pakistan’ report, Prime Minister Sharif said that Pakistan wants permanent peace in the region and for this he is ready to negotiate all major issues. He said that “Pakistan wants to have a meaningful and serious conversation with India on issues like Jammu and Kashmir, water disputes, trade and terrorism.” Another important part of the conversation between Prime Minister Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince was the current situation in West Asia. The two leaders discussed the need to maintain peace and stability in the region and agreed to further strengthen mutual cooperation.
India’s response: tough stance and military action
After the Pahalgam terror attack, India took many tough measures against Pakistan. India first postponed the Indus Water Treaty in 1960, unilaterally, which has been the basis of water sharing between the two countries. Along with this, India also stopped all business activities with Pakistan with immediate effect.
‘Operation Sindoor’ on the night of 6-7 May
India started ‘Operation Sindoor’ on the night of 6-7 May, targeting terrorist bases within the Pakistani border. This action of the Indian Army lasted for several days and the headquarters of several terrorist organizations were destroyed in which more than 100 terrorists were killed. The military conflict between India and Pakistan lasted for four days, which eventually calmed down on 10 May after agreed to stop limited military action between the two sides.
Pakistan strictly frightened Pakistan
India’s surgical and water strike have frightened Pakistan. That is why Pakistan is now talking about improving its relations with India. Let us know that India-Pakistan relations have been tense on the issues of Jammu and Kashmir and terrorism for a long time. Recent developments have once again brought these relations to the lower level. However, this latest statement of the Prime Minister of Pakistan revives the possibilities of dialogue between the two countries. (Language)
