About Sargodha airbase
This airbase is present in the slander of Pakistani Punjab. It has been named No. 38 (Tactical) Wing. It is under the Central Air Command and also has a command headquarters. Till 2003 it was known as PAF Base Sargodha. It was later renamed as former Base Commander and Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Mushf Ali Mir, whose aircraft crashed during a regular flight near Kohat the same year.
Combat Commanders School is present in the base
The base has Combat Commanders School (CCS), which is for research and development in the field of strategy, arms system employment and standardization and evaluation of various units. CCS has three squadrons. ‘Skybolts’ is currently blowing Dassault Mirage III/5,’ dashings; Currently Chengdu is blowing F-7p and ‘Dragons’ is currently flying JF-17. CCS employees make an annual tour of PAF fighter squadrons to take stock of war capabilities and improve them.
India launched Operation Sindoor
