Pakistan series: A big and shocking news is coming out for cricket fans. The much awaited series with Pakistan is on the verge of cancellation. There is a tremendous conflict between the two boards about the program, and now one side has made it clear that no change is approved. Cricket lovers who have been waiting for a long time may get a big shock. If the matter is not made, then this competition will not be seen by the audience.

Actually, the Pakistan Series that is talking about here is to be played between Pakistan and West Indies. In early August, the Pakistan team has to visit the West Indies, where it will play three T20s and three ODIs.

The T20 matches of this (Pakistan Series) will be held on 1, 2 and 4 August in Lauderhill, Florida, USA, while ODIs will be played on 8, 10 and 12 August in Taroba, Trinidad. The entire tour has already been finalized by the West Indies Board.

Emphasis on T20, Don’t want to play ODI Pcb

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants only T20 series to be played in this tour, so that the team can prepare the T20 World Cup 2026 better. The board intention is to get the players as compared to the more small formats and focus on it.

PCB believes that at present, competition in T20 format has increased considerably and they will have to mold their team accordingly. Keeping in mind the fatigue and workload of the players, the board wants to avoid ODI matches.

Cricket West Indies refuses clearly, No change in schedule

Cricket West Indies (CWI) CEO Chris Dehring has made it clear that he will not make any changes in the current program. He said that the conversation between the two boards will continue, but our priority is to strengthen the team even in the 50 -over format.

In the last ODI World Cup 2023, the West Indies team could not qualify, causing a lot of criticism to the board. For this reason, now CWI is serious about ODI format and wants the team to get a chance to play more than 50 overs.
