Shafali Verma Comeback Story: A five -match Test series is being played between India and England’s men’s teams. Meanwhile, the T20 series between the women’s teams of India and England has also started, the first match is being played on 28 June in Nottingham, Trent Bridge. Through this match, Shefali Verma, the star batsman of Team India, known as ‘Lady Sehwag’, made a comeback.

Before the match, Shefali told her sad story. The BCCI shared a video through social media, in which Shefali was seen telling her painful story. Shefali explained how her father had a heart attack. Apart from this, he also talked about dropping from the team.

In the video, Shefali Verma said, “If a good player can see good time, then he should also see bad time. My father had a heart attack 10 days before my selection. That was very difficult for me and after that suddenly there was no selection in the team. It was very difficult to keep myself boost. I thought I would get a chance anywhere, I will try to score runs anywhere.”

Inspiration from Sachin Tendulkar’s video

Further, Shefali told how Sachin Tendulkar’s test video helped him. Shefali said, “I saw Sachin Sir’s Test innings. I learned from his videos to give a good ball, which can make your innings good.” He further said, “After so long, putting hands on the jersey, for which you are very happy to meet.”

Let us tell you that Shefali Verma is returning to Team India after about a year. He played the last international match for India in October 2025.
