Born in a Parsi family in South Mumbai, Jim Sarbh moved to Australia at the age of 3 and remained there for the age of eight. He then returned to Mumbai from the American School of Bombay to complete his schooling. He then went back to study psychology at the University of Amori in Atlanta, USA. The actor, currently living in Versova, admitted in an interview to Hindustan Times that he never had a definite action plan. He says, “Suddenly, I am being told what is good for my career, what date I have to sign, so that I do not just be a part of Indie films.”
Why did you get many rejections?
The actor further says, ‘I never thought about these things. I did drama because I liked the drama, I read psychology because I was interested in this matter and I hope I would keep doing films because I like this medium. ‘ This interview actor gave this during the release of his film ‘Neerja’. Jim reported that he was rejected several times due to lean and low height. Apart from this, he was not comfortable to speak Hindi, he also started coming in the midst of his career, but he says that he will play Hindi speaking characters.
