New Delhi, November 7 (IANS). BJP MP from New Delhi seat Bansuri Swaraj on Thursday targeted the Aam Aadmi Party. Speaking to IANS, he said that the people of Delhi are having to bear the brunt of his false promises.
Bansuri Swaraj said, “Aam Aadmi Party has a very old formula, false promises and increasing burden on the public and this is the sting of their broken promises, which the people of Delhi have to bear. Delhi got double blow of lightning. The Aam Aadmi Party has given regulatory acid permission to the electricity companies, but there is an order of the Supreme Court regarding the tariff policy, which is binding on the Delhi government.
She further said, “Clause 8.2.2 states that you should allow regulatory acid only when there is a very rare case. I want to ask what happened in the last decade that the Delhi government allowed it. If this clause If we look at it, it says that the Delhi government should have recovered these regulatory acids within seven years. But the Delhi government did not do so and imposed a debt of Rs 21 thousand crores on the public.
Bansuri Swaraj said, “The people of Delhi have been hit twice because the company had to pay money to the Delhi government, but this government did not recover the public money and now this outstanding has reached Rs 26 thousand crores.”
She further said, “I would like to ask Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Atishi that for how long will you continue to betray the people of Delhi like this. It is certain that if your government comes back, the electricity bills in Delhi will be very high after the elections. Will it increase, because how will you put the burden on the people? There has been an Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi and it has not been audited even once. They are suffering the brunt of this, that is why now the people here want change.”
