The number of people around the world is decreasing, who call each other on the phone. Now internet calling has been replaced by messaging apps or other circles. Mobile phone use methods in Germany have seen major changes in recent years. According to official data, video and audio calling in Germany have surpassed traditional phone calls.

The number of mobile call minutes in the US in 2021 was 24 trillion.

Mobile calls in 2020 in Britain were 189.7 billion, but in 2021 it declined to 187 billion minutes. While traditional calling was seen in Germany, there has been a sharp increase in internet -based audio and video calls. This trend continues at the global level as well.

Increasing use of smartphones has also promoted internet based calls. There has been a sharp increase in demand for smartphones in countries like India.

According to telephonica, about 96.5 percent of 5.35 billion internet users are using the Internet through mobile phones. Given the data of Germany and other countries, it is clear that traditional phone calling is losing its popularity rapidly and replacing Internet based calling and messaging apps instead. This trend is getting stronger due to technological progress, increasing access to smartphones and affordable internet plans.
