PM inaugurated Chenab Arch Bridge by waving the tricolor

PM Modi visited Jammu and Kashmir for the first time after the Pahalgam attack on Friday. He inaugurated the world’s tallest railway Arch Bridge on the Chenab River in Reasi district by showing the tricolor. After this, Katra-Srinagar Vande India flagged off the first train in Kashmir in Anjee Bridge and Katra.

Modi gave a 42 -minute speech in Katra. It mentioned terrorism, tourism of Pakistan and Kashmir.

The PM said, ‘Unfortunately the country of our neighborhood, opposed to humanity, is opposed to conjunction. It is a country which is also opposed to the livelihood of the poor. What happened in Pahalgam on 22 April is an example of this. Pakistan attacked humanity and Kashmiriyat. We did a doom on him on 6 May.

Chenab Arch Bridge is built between Bakkal and Kuri in Reasi district. It was approved in 2003. According to the initial plan, it was to be ready by 2009, but it took 22 years to complete.

It is longer than one and a quarter km long and height is 359 meters from the river. It is 29 meters high from Paris’s Eiffel Tower (330 m). The cost is Rs 1486 crore.

Inauguration of the country’s first cable stay, Bridge

PM also inaugurated India’s first cable stay rail bridge built on Anji Khad. This bridge is built at an altitude of 331 meters above the river floor. A tower 1086 feet high is designed to support it, which is as high as a 77 -storey building.

This bridge is built on the Anji River which connects Katra in Reasi district to Banihal. Its distance from Chenab Bridge is just 7 km. The length of this bridge is 725.5 meters. Out of this, 472.25 meters part rests on the cables.

The first train to connect Kashmir also starts

PM Modi finally reached Katra. At the railway station here, he showed the green flag to the Katra-Srinagar Vande Bharat train connecting Kashmir. The Northern Railway will start the Vande Bharat Service on the Katra-Srinagar route from 7 June. Ticket booking can be done on IRCTC website. 6 days a week, two trains will run between Katra and Srinagar.

Northern Railway said that the train has two travel classes. The fare for the chaircar is Rs 715 and the rent of the Executive Class is Rs 1320. Right now trains will stop only in Banihal, the decision on other stops will be taken later.
