India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron on the phone on Thursday amidst the ongoing upheaval in the world. In a phone conversation, Prime Minister Modi and President Macron have discussed the efforts of peaceful solutions of conflicts in Ukraine and West Asia. Prime Minister Modi has said that he has a very good conversation with President Macron. Let’s know the major things about this conversation.

In a tweet made on X, PM Modi said- “He had a very good conversation with his friend President Macron. Exchanged views on the efforts of peaceful solutions of struggles in Ukraine and West Asia. Reiterated his commitment to further strengthening India-French strategic partnership.”
What did Macron tell?
French President Macron said in a tweet on X- “I just talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. We coordinated our position on war in Ukraine so that Ukraine and Europe’s security can move towards just and permanent peace with a strong guarantee of security. On business issues, we have agreed to strengthen our economic exchange and our strategic partnership in all areas- this is our sovereignty and freedom.”
Macron further said- “After the AI Action Summit held in Paris last February last February, we are working for the success of the AI Impact Summit to be held in New Delhi in 2026. For more effective multiplicity, we expressed consent to work in 2026 in 2026 and prepare for the Indian chairmanship of BRICS.”
