PM modi uk visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday targeted Pakistan indirectly and said that there is no place in the world for “double standards” in the fight against terrorism. The Prime Minister made this comment while addressing the media in London with his British counterpart Keer Stmper. In his media statement, Modi thanked Britain for strongly condemning the Pahalgam terror attack and said that both sides are unanimous that “there is no place for double norms in the fight against terrorism.”

PM Modi said, “We also agree that terrorist -minded forces cannot be allowed to misuse democratic freedom.” Prime Minister Modi said that the security agencies of the two countries will continue to cooperate and coordinate on matters like extradition of economic criminals.
Signature on free trade agreement between India and Britain
India and Britain signed a historic Free Trade Agreement (FTA) on Thursday, which is expected to increase the annual bilateral trade by about $ 34 billion. With this agreement, 99 percent of Indian exports will be terminated and the fees on British whiskey, cars and many other items will also be deducted. The agreement was signed in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and British Prime Minister Kir Stmper. It was signed by Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and his British counterpart Jonathan Reynold.
‘Sovereignty and regional integrity of all countries is necessary’
Prime Minister Modi also spoke on the overall position of the Indo-Pacific region. He said, “We have been sharing peace and stability in the Indo-Pacific region, the ongoing struggle in Ukraine and the situation in West Asia.” He stressed that the sovereignty and regional integrity of all countries are necessary. He said that the demand for today’s era is not “expansionism”, but “evolutionism”. Modi also mourned the death of several British citizens in the Air India aircraft accident in Ahmedabad last month.

After the agreement, Prime Minister Modi said that today is a historic day in India-Britain relations. He said that after many years of hard work, a comprehensive economic and trade agreement between India and Britain has been signed. Officials said that 99 percent of Indian exports would not be charged in Britain when the FTA is implemented. On the other hand, it will be easy for British companies to export whiskey, cars and other products to India. In this way the overall bilateral trade will increase. The stormer said that this is the largest and economically most important trade agreement made by Britain after leaving the European Union.
‘Vision 2035’ is eyeing
On the Free Trade Agreement, Modi said that this will create new opportunities in the British market for India’s agricultural products and processed food industry and will be especially beneficial for the youth, farmers, fishermen and MSME sector of India. He said that Indian textile industry, shoes, gems and jewelery, seafood and engineering items will get better market access to Britain. PM Modi said that India and Britain are also strengthening the ‘Vision 2035’ outline to give new pace and energy to the widespread strategic partnership between the two sides in the next decade.
