Jagreb: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation level talks with his counterpart Andrej Plankovic in Jagreb, the capital of Croatia. During the time, the two leaders discussed important issues to strengthen bilateral relations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has once again said that this is not a time of war. PM Modi said that India and Croatia agree that whether it is Europe or Asia, the solution of problems cannot come out of the battlefields. He insisted that dialogue and diplomacy is its only way. Prior to Croatia, PM Modi went to Cyprus and Canada.

‘Terrorism is the enemy of humanity’

In a statement to the media after talks with Croatia Prime Minister Andrez Plankovic, PM Modi said that the two leaders agree that ‘terrorism is the enemy of humanity’ and it is similar to the enemy for the forces who believe in democracy. He said, “We agree that whether it is Europe or Asia, the solution of problems cannot be found from the battlefields, dialogue and diplomacy is the only way.” PM Modi’s statement has come amid the situation arising due to increasing military conflict between Israel and Iran in West Asia. Modi said that it is necessary for any country to respect regional integrity and sovereignty.

‘India-Croatia will work together’

PM Modi posted on the social media forum X and said, “Jagreb had a meaningful talks with friends and Prime Minister Andrez Plankovic. Our conversation included many areas, which aims to make India-Croatia relations even stronger. We will work together in defense and safety, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, IT (information technology), renewable energy, technology and other fields. The coordination in semiconductor, shipbuilding, connectivity and other fields will also be very beneficial.

Croatia supports India against terrorism

Prime Minister Modi thanked Croatia for continuously supporting India in fighting cross -border terrorism. He said that the leaders of the two countries also called for deepening the strategic relations of the India-European Union. Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to travel to the nation ‘Balkan’ (region of South Eastern Europe). In his statement, Plankovic said that his meeting with Modi reflects the importance and strength of relations between the two countries. (Language)
