PM Modi inaugurated Duty Bhavan: 7 including home and abroad
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the duty building-03 building on the duty path in Delhi. It is part of the Central Vista Project, which began in 2019 and the Common Central Secretariat (CSS) is the first out of 10 building.
Duty Bhawan-03 is first inaugurated. It has been designed to bring better coordination and work between different ministries and departments located at different places in Delhi.
It has 7 floors including ground floors. There will be offices of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of External Affairs, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of MSME, Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT), Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Principal Scientific Advisor (PSA) and Intelligence Bureau offices.
The duty building is spread over 1.5 lakh square meters. 600 cars can be parked here simultaneously. It has Creche (Shishu Griha), Yoga Room, Medical Room, Cafe, Kitchen and Hall. There are also 24 conference rooms in Duty Bhavan. Each room has a seating capacity of 45 people.
According to the government, many ministries are currently working in old buildings such as Shastri Bhawan, Krishi Bhawan, Udyog Bhawan and Nirman Bhawan built between the 1950s and 1970s, which are now structurally dilapidated.
The work of duty building-1 and 2 will be completed next month
The Center has launched the Common Central Secretariat (CSS) under the Central Vista redevelopment project. Under this, there are plans to build ten buildings and an executive enclave. Among them are Duty Bhawan-1 and Duty Bhawan-2 under construction. This will be completed by next month. At the same time, the remaining 7 buildings will also be built in the next 22 months.
The Common Central Secretariat will have a new Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Cabinet Secretariat, India House and National Security Council Secretariat. In the second phase of the Executive Enclave, the Prime Minister’s residence will be constructed.
