PM Modi launched ‘Developed India Employment Scheme’, 3 crore jobs will be Create in 2 years
Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘PM Developed India Employment Scheme’ i.e. PMVBRY on 15 August on the occasion of Independence Day. This ambitious scheme of the government aims to create 3.5 crore employment opportunities in the next two years. According to the news of PTI, PM Modi said in his address to the Red Fort- Today a scheme of ₹ 1 lakh crore is being started for the youth of the country. This is a ‘PM developed India Rojgar Scheme’, which is being implemented from today. On 1 July 2025, the Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister approved the scheme. Its purpose is to encourage employment in the private sector.
Planning expenses and purpose
According to the news, the total budget of PM Developed India Employment Scheme is ₹ 99,446 crore. Under this, a target has been set to generate 3.5 crore jobs. Of these, 1.92 crore youth will get a chance in the job for the first time.
Benefits for the first time job (Part-A):
- Youth registered in EPFO will get a profit of up to ₹ 15,000, in two installments
- Eligibility: Whose salary is up to ₹ 1 lakh per month
- First installment: on completing 6 months job
- Second installment: 12 months of service and financial literacy training
- Some part will be locked in a savings scheme or deposit account, which can be withdrawn later
- Payment will be through DBT mode through Aadhaar Bridge Payment System
Encouragement for employers (part-b):
- Government assistance of up to ₹ 3,000 per month per new employee
- This benefit will be given for 2 years
- This assistance will be extended for 4 years in the manufacturing sector
terms: - Institutions with less than 50 employees have to keep at least 2 new employees.
- Institutions with 50 or more employees have to keep 5 new employees.
- Appointments should be at least 6 months permanent service.
- Payment will be directly in PAN Linked Bank accounts.
How much will the duration of this scheme be
The scheme will apply to jobs that will be born between 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2027. The name and objective of this scheme is inspired by the ‘Developed India’ mission. This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to creating inclusive and permanent employment opportunities in India.
