China welcomed PM Modi by laying a red carpet.
Beijing: Amid the changing relations with China, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached the city of Tyanzin on Saturday after nearly 7 years, where he will attend the Sanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) summit running from 31 August to 1 September. Beijing was also very excited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to China. China laid a red carpet in a spectacular reception of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This step of China is enough to burn America amidst the ongoing tension between the US and India. On Sunday, the bilateral meeting of PM Modi and Xi Jinping is being considered strategically and diplomatically for the US.
PM Modi and Jinping meeting fixed
Bilateral meeting has been scheduled between PM Modi and President Xi Jinping on Sunday. The two leaders will hold a face-to-face meeting in China after 7 years. In June 2020, India and China’s relations had come out after a violent clash with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, but the relationship between the two countries had started improving since a meeting between PM Modi and Xi Jinping in Kazakhstan last year. Now the heavy tariff imposed by the US on China and then India has brought New Delhi and Beijing even more closer.
What issues will be talked about?
PM Modi’s meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Sunday is considered to be very important. The reason is clear that India and China are going to hold this meeting in view of strengthening their bilateral relations amid tension in global trade from Trump’s tariff policy. In the meeting, there is a possibility of discussing measures to take stock of India-China economic relations between Modi and Jinping and to remove the increased tussle in the relationship after the border dispute in eastern Ladakh. Modi arrived in China in China from Japan under the second and final phase of his visit to two countries.
PM Modi will also meet Putin
During the SCO Summit, PM Modi will also meet Russian President Vladimir Putin on 1 September i.e. Monday. Apart from this, he can also hold bilateral talks with many other leaders. Prior to Taenzin’s visit, Modi had said that India and China are important to work together to bring stability in the global economic system. In an interview to the Japanese newspaper ‘The Yamiuri Shimbun’ on Friday, the Prime Minister said that stable, predicted and friendly relations between India and China can have a positive impact on regional and global peace and prosperity. He had said, “Given the current instability in the world economy, it is necessary to work together of two big economies like India and China, so that stability can be brought in the global economic system.” (input language)
