Tokyo: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday made a big statement about the changing relations between India and China in Japan. He said in an interview that working together India and China is important to bring stability in the global economic system. He also said that India is ready to pursue bilateral relations from a strategic and long -term perspective on the basis of mutual respect, shared interest and mutual sensitivity.

Positive impact on global peace with India-China

In an interview to The Yomuri Shimbun during his visit to Japan, PM Modi also said that if two neighbors and two largest countries of the world maintain stable, predicted and amicable relations like India and China, then it can have a positive impact on regional and global peace and prosperity.

PM Modi told why China is going?

When the Prime Minister was asked about the importance of improving relations with China at this time, he said, “I am going to Tianjin from here on the invitation of President Xi Jinping, where I will participate in the SCO Summit. I will participate in constant and positive progress in our bilateral relations since my meeting with President Xi in Kajan last year. India ready to increase strategic dialogue with China

PM Modi said that India agrees to pursue bilateral relations with China on a strategic and long -term perspective, on the basis of mutual respect, shared interest and mutual sensitivity. It is also ready to increase strategic dialogue to deal with development challenges.

Cooperation with Japan in Hind-Pacific region

On the concept of Japan’s “open and free Hind-Pacific”, the Prime Minister said that this vision of Japan and ‘Vision Ocean’ and ‘Hind-Pacific Ocean Pahal’ of India are deeply harmonized. He said that both India and Japan are committed to making the Indo-Pacific region a peaceful, prosperous, stable, sovereignty and regional integrity of countries.

India’s stance on Russia-Ukraine War

Referring to the recent conversation with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, Prime Minister Modi said that India has taken a theoretical and human stance on the struggle, which has been appreciated by the two leaders President Vladimir Putin and President Vladimir Zelancesi. He said, “I encouraged dialogue and diplomacy to repeat India’s permanent and theoretical position and conflict. India is ready to cooperate in the efforts being made for a meaningful and peaceful solution.”

India’s role in Global South

Prime Minister Modi said that the global community has resolved to create a more equitable world by achieving sustainable development goals by 2030, and if this goal is to be achieved then ‘Global South’ should be given priority. He said, “We have seen the impact of disruption in epidemic, conflict and supply chain on global South. These countries are still struggling with many challenges like global rule, climate change, food and energy security, debt crisis.” Modi said that India has made constant efforts to bring these issues prominently to the global agenda. India’s global efforts such as Mission Life, CDRI, International Solar Alliance, Global Biofuels Alliance keep the interests of Global South at the center.

India’s role in G20, BRICS and Quad

The Prime Minister said that the African Union was included during India’s G20 chairmanship and the aspirations of Global South were given voice. Similarly, India is actively working in the interest of global South in BRICS. In the context of Quad, Modi said that since its establishment in 2004, it has been doing positive work for the Indo-Pacific region. India has always emphasized the need for improvement in global multilateral institutions. So that they correspond to the current geopolitical and economic realities. (PTI)
