PM Modi received a strong reception at the airport to reach Brasilia. He was welcomed at the airport with traditional drums and drums of Brazil. Prime Minister Modi also met Uruguay President Yamandu Orsi during the BRICS summit. The two leaders discussed measures to increase cooperation in areas like business, chemicals, medicine, technology and defense. PM Modi said, ‘Strong relationship between our countries is important for the global South. India will make every effort to further strengthen relations with Uruguay. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Modi and Orsi reviewed the cooperation in the areas of digital cooperation, digital public infrastructure, UPI, defense, railways, health, agriculture, energy, culture and public connectivity.
