PM Modi talks with Fiji’s counterpart Rabuka, seven agreements signed

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held extensive talks with Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitweni Ligamada Rabuka, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations in areas such as trade and investment. After the talks of the two leaders, India and Fiji signed seven agreements. Prime Minister Modi said that climate change is a threat to Fiji, we will help in dealing with disaster.
What did PM Modi say?
PM Modi said that India and Fiji may be far away, but the aspirations of both countries are the same. The Prime Minister said that India and Fiji have decided to strengthen mutual cooperation in the areas of defense and security as well as finalize the action plan to increase defense cooperation.
Fiji’s PM Rabuka is on a tour of India
Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitvani Ligamada Rabuka arrived in Delhi on a three -day visit on Sunday. This is his first visit to India as the Prime Minister of the South Pacific region. Fiji leader is accompanied by a high-level delegation which includes Health Minister Ratu Atonio Lalbalavu and several senior officials.
