‘In support of caste census but …’

Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) President Chirag Paswan has supported the caste census. He said that the caste census will provide data to the government to prepare various welfare schemes for the people, but such data should not be made public. This can promote casteism. The Union Minister said that he is in support of caste census but does not support caste politics. Caste is a harsh reality in the country. The government also starts many government schemes for discrimination and upliftment of people, which is based on caste, so the governments of the state should have caste figures.
