For this, you can take a loan from banks. State Bank of India i.e. SBI is providing loans under this scheme at just 6 percent initial interest rate. Not only this, you can also get a subsidy of up to Rs 78,000 on installing solar panels. It is also easy to apply for this and the process of getting a loan is also easy. Who can apply
According to SBI, an ordinary citizen or individual applicants who have adequate roofing area and roof rights on which are proposed to be installed, as well as completing technical specialties can also choose the option of ground-mounted elevated installations, applying for loans in SBI under this scheme. Keep in mind, he should have authority over the place/land on which the installation is proposed.
Keep in mind, the maximum age to apply for the loan is 65 years, if you are applying it by single name. Otherwise, if you are applying for joint names then the maximum age is 75 years. However, the loan should be closed before completing the age of 75 years of the co-resistor.
Understand the loan amount
According to the official website of SBI, there is no minimum amount fixed for taking a loan under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, but it can be up to a maximum of Rs 6 lakh. For loan amount up to Rs 2 lakh, there is no minimum income criteria. However, to take advantage of loans up to Rs 2 lakh and up to Rs 6 lakh, pure annual income must be Rs 3 lakh and above. To get a loan, you have to give only 10 percent margin amount.
If you take a loan of up to Rs 2 lakh under Surya Ghar Scheme from SBI at floating rate, then it will be available to you at the rate of 6 percent annually. Apart from this, if the loan amount is more than 2 lakh and up to Rs 6 lakh, then you will get this loan at 8.15 percent interest. You can repay the loan in a maximum of 120 months. If you also do prepament then you do not have to pay any charge.
Subsidy up to ₹ 78,000
Under the PM Surya Ghar Free Power Scheme, 40% of the additional system cost is provided for the system up to 2 kW capacity and 40 percent of the additional system cost for the system between 2 to 3 kW capacity. The subsidy range has been limited to 3 kW capacity. According to the official website of the government, at the current benchmark prices, there will be a subsidy of Rs 30,000 for 1 kW system, Rs 60,000 for 2 kW system and Rs 78,000 for 3 kW or more systems.
