Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar is in Delhi these days amid speculation of reshuffle in Karnataka cabinet. Apart from this, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is also going to reach Delhi this afternoon. DK Shivkumar has arrived for a meeting with the Union Forest Minister and the Minister of Water Power. CM Siddaramaiah will meet Defense Minister Rajnath Singh this evening. In fact, these days the presence of both leaders in Delhi has strengthened the speculation of political upheaval in the state. However, DK Shivkumar has denied these speculation. When asked questions about turning the Chief Minister in turn in Karnataka, the Deputy Chief Minister said, “These speculations are in your mind, not in my eyes and ears.”
What did DK Shivkumar say
DK Shivkumar further said, “There is no plan to reshuffle the cabinet in Karnataka.” When asked about the meeting of all MLAs and senior leaders by party general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala, DK Shivkumar said, “This is an exercise to strengthen the party’s organization in the state, as 30-40 district Congress committees are to be appointed in the state.” He claimed that this exercise should not be seen as a review of the cabinet reshuffle. Will remain CM for five years: Siddaramaiah
In the midst of speculation of leadership change in Karnataka, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ended suspense and said that I will remain the CM of Karnataka for five years. There should be no doubt in this. He claimed that the Congress party is united and this government will be “strong like a rock” for five years. When the reporters asked him whether he would remain CM for five years. On this, Siddaramaiah said that yes I will be CM for five years. There is no doubt about it. Why do you doubt? On the other hand, Deputy CM DK Shivkumar also said that the party is not a dissatisfaction.
