Pooja Hegde along with Varun Dhawan-Mrinal Thakur saw her film ‘Retro’ in London, playing this role
Pooja Hegde and Surya’s film ‘Retro’ knocked in theaters on 1 May. Director Karthik Subbaraj was present on the occasion with Lokesh Kanagraj, but Pooja could not attend the main screening. Despite this, he participated in a special screening of the film in Glasgow, London.
Pooja with this screening was also present with Pooja, Varun Dhawan and Mrinal Thakur, co-star of ‘Hi Jawani To Ishq Ho Hai’.

Pooja Hegde is seen in Surya’s opposite lead role in the film. She is playing the role of Rukmani – who is a doctor and therapy and is against all kinds of violence. Recently, Pooja shared the glimpses behind the curtain of this character on social media and wrote an emotional post.
He described Rukmani as “the most sacred soul, innocent but intelligent” and said, “I wish we can all be like Rukku. To become Rukku was the most fun experience of my life.”
Retro has been released only one day and Pooja is already winning hearts – from both the critics and the audience. Neitizers has described his performance as his’ best ‘ever’ and has praised his romantic and soft touch in the film, which gives a different color to gangster drama.
As Rukmani, she has influenced her range and depth as a pan-Indian actress. Pooja Hegde with retro has added another powerful film to her career – and it seems that she is not in a mood to stop.
Pooja is currently in the UK, where she is shooting for her next Bollywood film Hi Jawani To Ishq Ho, with Varun Dhawan. It is a light-hearted romantic comedy, directed by David Dhawan and is expected to be released soon.
