Postpone ‘Son of Sardar 2’ among the storm of ‘Saira’, this is the new release date of the film

Ajay Devgan and Mrinal Thakur starrer ‘Son of Sardar 2’ was eagerly waiting for the fans, but now the producers have postponed its release date. The comedy drama film, which was scheduled to release on July 25, 2025, will now appear on the silver screen on August 1, 2025. Although the manufacturers have not yet given the reason behind this, social media users believe that this is the effect of Mohit Suri’s ‘Saira’. Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda’s film ‘Saira’ was released in theaters on July 18, which has earned a double digit on the first day.

Makers announced new release date

On Saturday, the makers shared this news with a post and wrote, “Jassi Paji and Toli will see you in theaters around the world on 1 August 2025.” The film is directed by Vijay Kumar Arora and written by Mohit Jain and Jagdeep Sidhu. It stars Ajay Devgan and Mrinal Thakur along with Kubra Saat, Neeru Bajwa, Sanjay Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Mukul Dev and other lead roles. Those who do not know that this film is the second installment of the 2012 film ‘Son of Sardar’.

Noted film Critic Taran Adarsh shared a post, in which he reacted to postponing ‘Son of Sardar 2’. He wrote in this post- ‘Wise decision – Ajay Devgan – Jio Studio’ Son of Sardar 2 ‘will now be released on 1 August 2025 …’ Users were also seen reacting to this post and praising the decision of the makers.

Saira’s box office collection

On the other hand, Mohit Suri’s romantic musical drama ‘Saira’ has made a splash at the box office. The film was released on the big screen on 18 July, in which a new and fresh pair Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda were seen. Both these new artists have created history by earning in double digit on the very first day with their debut. Ahaan Pandey and Anit Padda’s ‘Saira’ has earned a bang of 20 crores on the first day at the box office.
