New Delhi: After the humongous Box Office success of the superhero film Hanuman, filmmaker Prasanth Varma on Monday (January 22, 2024) took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to announce its sequel, titled Jai Hanuman. The special announcement was made by the 34-year-old director on the auspicious occasion of the inauguration of Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
Prasanth also thanked audiences, from across the globe, who showered their immense love on Hanuman, and stated that the pre-production of Jai Hanuman has begun. Along with the post, he also shared a special poster – featuring Lord Ram and Hanuman – of the upcoming movie. Have a look:

The announcement has filled fans with immense excitement. “All the best, Prasanth. Expectations are huge this time. Hope the movie will exceed them too,” a social media user commented. Another wrote, “Congratulations on the huge blockbuster hit, Hanu Man. You surprised everyone by creating awesome graphics with a limited budget. Eagerly waiting for part 2. Wishing the entire team congratulations and all the best. I’m sure it’s going to create more impact and sensation.”

The Teja Sajja starrer is all set to surpass the prestigious Rs 200 crore mark at the global Bopx office. It has reportedly grossed Rs 153.2 crore in India and Rs 198.2 crore worldwide after 11 days of theatrical run.
Hanuman also featured Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Raj Deepak Shetty and Vinay Rai in important roles. So far, it has emerged as 2024’s second highest-grossing Indian film and Telugu film. It was said to be made on a budget of Rs 20 crore.
