Mock drills in many states of the country
Under Operation Shield, mock drills will be done in 5 states of the country and one union territory on Saturday. During this time, blackouts and mock drills will be done by playing sirens. Jammu district administration said that it will be mockdryl from 8 pm to 8:15 last night. During this time all the lights will have to be closed. The windows will have to put curtains. The administration has appealed to the people not to panic.
Know which time will be blackout?
At the same time, mock drill will be done in Amritsar from 8 pm to 8:30 pm. In Chandigarh too, there will be blackout from 8 pm to 8.10 pm. Apart from Jammu and Kashmir and Chandigarh, this mock drill will also be held in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab and Haryana on Saturday. During this time the preparations will be tested.
Mock drill in 41 districts of Rajasthan
In Rajasthan, the Civil Defense Department has issued instructions to all District Magistrates and Magistrates to blackouts and mock drills across the state on Saturday evening. According to the guidelines issued by Jagjit Singh Monga, director of the Director of Civil Defense, Mock Drill and Blackout will be done simultaneously in all 41 districts of the state.
Home Ministry issued orders for states
Defense Officer Monga said that according to a recent letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the exercise will be done on May 31 in all the districts of the states and union territories on the western border under ‘Operation Shield’.
These people will participate in the mock drill
During the mock drill, young volunteers such as the Indian Army, security forces and police teams along with local administration stakeholders and NCC, NYKS, Bharat Scouts and Guides will conduct various services. All these people will assist civil administration in the implementation of civil security measures in the event of enemy aircraft, drones and missile attacks during mock drills. (With input of PTI)
