High House of Rajya Sabha Parliament
There are two houses in the Parliament of India- Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha is the upper house of Parliament. Its members have a tenure of 6 years and one third of the members retire every 2 years.

The main task of both houses of Parliament is to enact legislation or law. For this, the first bill is introduced in the House. Then it is discussed, after that it is passed and passed by all consent or voting. This becomes a law after the President’s approval.

How is the election of Rajya Sabha MPs?

The members of Rajya Sabha are elected directly, not the public, but indirectly. This means that elected members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the states and union territories choose these members. The number of seats of Rajya Sabha in a state is vacant, votes are cast on the number of state MLAs. In this way Rajya Sabha members are elected.

There are 12 members in the Rajya Sabha whom the public does not choose, but the President nominates. This name suggests the government to the President and then the President nominates him. Their aim is that people from every region are present in Parliament so that their experience and opinion can help in making laws.
