G20 Summit in Brazil: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to three countries from 16-21 November. During this time he will also go to Brazil to participate in the G-20 summit. The Ministry of External Affairs gave this information on Tuesday (November 12). Modi is likely to meet many leaders during the G-20 summit. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement that the Prime Minister will visit Rio de Janeiro on November 18-19 to attend the G-20 summit hosted by Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
The statement said India is part of the G-20 “troika” along with Brazil and South Africa and is actively contributing to the discussions at the G-20 summit. The Ministry of External Affairs said, “During the summit, the Prime Minister will present India’s position on various issues of global importance and the ‘G-20 New Delhi Leaders Declaration’ and ‘Voice of the Global South Summit’ hosted by India in the last two years. Will discuss the results.
PM Modi’s first visit to Nigeria
On the other hand, on the invitation of Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Prime Minister Modi will visit Nigeria on 16-17 November. According to the statement, this will be the first visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Nigeria in 17 years. “During the visit, the Prime Minister will review the strategic partnership between India and Nigeria and discuss opportunities to enhance bilateral relations,” the statement said.
Last year India had the presidency of G-20
Modi will pay a state visit to Guyana from November 19-21 at the invitation of Guyana President Mohammed Irfan Ali. This visit to Guyana will be the first visit by the Prime Minister of India since 1968. Let us tell you that last year India had the presidency of G-20, which was handed over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
