Punjab Police raids medical store; 1180 intoxicating pills recovered

The special police team formed with the aim of curbing drug addiction in Punjab has taken major action in Ratia and busted drug pills from a medical store. Under this campaign, on November 6, a youth Amandeep from Patra area of ​​Punjab was arrested while supplying intoxicating pills. 1180 intoxicating pills were recovered from Amandeep, after which the police registered a case under the NDPS Act and took the accused on remand for 2 days.
During remand, Amandeep revealed that he used to buy these pills from a medical store in Ratia. After this, the special team of Punjab Police, led by Sub Inspector Avtar Singh, with the help of local police, reached the medical store located on Tohana Road. During this time, Ratia police station in-charge Ranjit Singh was also present on the spot.
Sub Inspector Avtar Singh of the special team said that the interrogation of the medical store operator is going on, and the CCTV footage installed there is also being examined. The drug inspector will be called to check the validity of the medical store and other necessary documents, only after which further action will be taken.
