Russian minister committed suicide

Russia’s Transport Minister Roman Staroviot was dismissed by President Putin on Monday and Roman Starovi committed suicide a few hours after President Vladimir Putin was dismissed. The AFP quoted the Russian news agencies as saying that after the announcement of the dismissal, Staroviot shot himself in a city in Moscow. Russian officials said their body was found in their car. “Today, the body of former Russian Union Transport Minister Roman Starvite was found in his private car with a wound of bullet in his private car,” said in a statement issued by Russia’s inquiry committee.

Minister commits suicide

Just hours after Putin removed Russia’s Transport Minister from the post due to “losing confidence”, Roman Staroviit was found dead at the age of 53. Russian media claims that it was suicide, as criminal fraud cases are likely to be opened against them.

Putin had dismissed

President Putin dismissed Starovoite a year after his appointment, The Moscow Times cited a Russian decree. However, the decree was not given the reason for the removal of Starovoite. Starovite was replaced by Deputy Transport Minister Andrei Nikitin, who will now serve as the Acting Transport Minister.
