Beijing: Russian President Vladimir Putin has given a fresh update to his friend India and China before negotiating with the US on Ukraine War. Putin first interacted with PM Modi on a phone on Friday and described him as the entire update of Ukraine War. After this, he became a matter of Chinese President Xi Jinping. The conversation took place before the upcoming summit of Putin, in which he would discuss the future of the Ukraine War with US President Donald Trump.
Jinping calls at Putin’s request
According to a statement issued by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Putin gave information about the current situation of the Ukrainian crisis and the recent contact and dialogue between Russia-US. Putin can reach China to join SCO
Putin is likely to come to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Tianjin at the end of August. He said that the overall strategic partnership of Russia-China will remain unchanged under any circumstances. The SCO summit will be held from 31 August to 1 September. After this, Putin will watch China’s huge military parade in Beijing on 3 September, which is to celebrate the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the Japanese invasion and the World Anti-Fascist War. PM Modi is also expected to attend this conference.

Xi told Putin that China will be stable in its position on the Ukraine crisis and will continue to promote peace talks. He said that there are no simple solutions to complex problems and explained in detail the policies and situation of China. Xi said that China is happy to see that Russia and America are keeping in touch, improving relations and work is being done towards political solutions. The two leaders agreed to work together for further development of China-Russia relations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Russia’s President Vladimir Putin over the phone on Friday. During this time the two leaders reiterated their commitment to further strengthen the Indo-Russia and privileged strategic partnership. Putin informed Modi about his country’s ongoing struggle with Ukraine and the Prime Minister reiterated India’s firm stand for a peaceful solution to the issue. The conversation between the two leaders took place at a time when Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order to impose an additional 25 percent duty on imported goods from India on continuing oil purchases from Russia.
