The accident took place in Nalhad village, where a 14 -year -old minor was hit by a fire while showing stunts on the occasion of immersion. According to the information, during the immersion procession, the minor was burning a fire in a torch filled with petrol and burning it in the air. The scene was exciting for the local people and other audiences, but a small omission during this stunt turned the entire atmosphere into chaos.

The people present nearby tried to extinguish the fire immediately and rushed the scorched minor to MKCG Hospital in Barhampur in a hurry. After first aid here, he was referred to Cuttack Medical College in view of his serious condition. The victim’s face, chest and both hands are badly scorched and his condition remains very critical. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village after this incident, and the family is in shock.
