Peshawar: In Pakistan’s disturbed Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, militants have once again attacked a drone (quadcopter). According to the police, this is the fifth time within a month when this police station has been targeted. On Saturday, militants dropped ammunition from a drone at Mirayan police station in Bannu district.

Attempt to drop drone failed

According to the police, no policeman was hurt in the attack nor did the building suffer any damage. During this time efforts were also made to kill the drone flying in the air. But she failed. Police said that this is the fifth quadcopter attack at Mirayan police station in a month.

The area is adjacent to Afghanistan

The area where this attack took place is adjacent to the Afghanistan border. It falls in the turbulent region. Pakistani authorities have indicated repeated attacks of repeated attacks as an increasing use of “advanced quadcopter technology” by terrorists. Currently a widespread search operation is going on, and security in Bannu district has been tightened.

Terrorists surrounded the police station

The incident occurred when armed militants attacked Serai Gambila police station in Lucky Marwat district on Friday night. About a dozen terrorists first surrounded the police station, then attacked with light and heavy weapons. However, the attackers were forced to escape due to police counter -firing. There were no casualties in this attack.

Pakistan told TTP responsible

The Pakistani Army has held the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) responsible for this attack. The attack was carried out at Serai Gambila police station, which is located near the Gambila River on the Peshawar-Karachi highway. It has been targeted by terrorists many times before. In the last one year, many parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been attacked by dropping explosives through drones (quadcopters). (PTI)
