New Delhi: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is going to start a ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra’ in Bihar from August 17. The purpose of this journey is to raise voice against the alleged vote theft and ensure a clean voter list. Rahul Gandhi has described it as not only an election issue, but also a battle of protecting democracy, constitution and the principle of ‘One Man, One Vote’. We are telling you when this journey of Rahul Gandhi will start, how long will it last and where will it end.

Complete program of voter rights journey

The yatra will pass through various districts of Bihar and there will be public meetings in many places. Come, know about the detailed schedule of this journey:

  • August 17: The yatra will begin between 12 to 2 pm from Bihar Industrial Area (Bida Ground). After this, the journey will start from Ambedkar Chowk (Karakat, Rohtas) of Dehri at 4:30 pm. The day will conclude with a public meeting at Ramesh Chowk in Aurangabad. The night will be held in Aurangabad.
  • August 18: The journey will start from Kutumba in Aurangabad at 8 am and reach Shivganj by 11 pm. The journey from Guraru will start again at 4 pm and will end in Gaya. The night will be in Gaya.
  • August 19: The yatra will start from Wazirganj area of Nawada and reach Nalanda in the evening. The night will be held in Nalanda.
  • August 20: There will be a break in the journey on this day, as it is Rajiv Gandhi’s date of birth.
  • August 21: The yatra will start from Sheikhpura in Nalanda and will reach Munger via Lakhisarai in the evening.
  • August 22: Starting from Munger, the yatra will reach Sultanganj and end in Bhagalpur in the evening.
  • August 23: The journey in Katihar will begin in the morning and end in Katihar on the same day.
  • August 24: Starting from Katihar, the yatra will reach Purnia and end in Narpatganj (Araria).
  • 25 August: There will be a break in the journey on this day.
  • 26 August: Starting from Supaul, the journey will end in Madhubani.
  • 27 August: Starting from Darbhanga, the journey will reach Sitamarhi via Muzaffarpur and will end there.
  • August 28: Starting from Sitamarhi, the journey will end in Motihari.
  • August 29: Starting from Bettiah (West Champaran), the journey will end in Siwan via Gopalganj.
  • 30 August: Starting from Chhapra, the journey will end in Ara, where a big rally will be held.
  • 31 August: There will be a break in the journey on this day.
  • 1 September: The yatra will conclude with a large rally of the Grand Alliance at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Describing the visit as a mass movement, Rahul Gandhi has appealed to the youth, laborers and farmers to join it. He says that this yatra is a direct fight against vote theft, which aims to ensure the right to vote for every citizen.
