Rahul speaks on increasing pollution, not political blame, collective national response is needed
New Delhi, 22 November (HS). Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Friday raised the issue of increasing pollution in entire North India including Delhi and said that it is the responsibility of all of us to come together, discuss and try to save India from this crisis. He said that he understands the need for a collective national response, not political blame on this issue.
While sharing the conversation with the environmental expert in the video, Rahul Gandhi said in a tweet that the Parliament session is going to start in a few days and this will remind all the MPs how big a problem pollution is. He said that the cloud of pollution extends for hundreds of kilometers and to clean it, the government, companies, experts and citizens will have to come forward for major changes and decisive action.
Rahul Gandhi said that pollution in North India has become a national emergency. Due to this, children and elderly people are suffocating and causing economic loss along with damage to the environment. The poor suffer the most due to pollution.
