Chandigarh. The heat of investigation into Delhi’s alleged liquor scam has now reached from Delhi to Punjab. A morning raid took place in the house and offices of Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh of Punjab. Apart from Mohali, ED teams have been deployed simultaneously at 12 locations in Punjab and Rajasthan. Till now it has not been confirmed by the authorities in which case this raid has been conducted. According to information received from sources, this raid is being conducted in the matter of liquor policy of Delhi. In which there is suspicion of his involvement with liquor contractors.
In Mohali, where documents are being searched in the house and office of MLA Kulwant Singh. At the same time, ED teams have also reached the MLA’s partnership firm in Ranjit Avenue in Amritsar. It is reported that along with Mohali, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, search is going on in entire Punjab as well as in Sri Ganganagar of Rajasthan. During this time, the big CA of Mohali is also on the radar of ED.
Recently, Kulwant Singh was also accused in an environmental clearance case. Governor Banwari Lal Purohit had written a letter to Bhagwant Mann regarding this. He told Mann that only your MLAs are doing real estate business here. Under the guise of this, they are also violating the rules, which needs to be controlled.
The raid on Kulwant Singh has also created a stir in the politics of Punjab. Bikram Jeet Singh Majithia has tweeted that a liquor scam of Rs 550 crore has taken place in Punjab also. Majithia tweeted, ED has raided AAP MLA Kulwant Singh in connection with the liquor scam of Delhi and Punjab. After issuing summons to Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, ED has now started opening the Punjab link of the liquor scam. It is necessary that the liquor scam of Rs 550 crore in Punjab be exposed. CM Bhagwant Mann and Harpal Cheema have directly benefited from this.
