Railway administration bows down before illegal vendors, deadly attack on commercial inspector in Narsinghpur, other employees angry

Jabalpur. The influence of illegal vendors on trains and railway stations is continuously increasing. Every day, these people are assaulting the passengers as well as the honest employees who teach them the rules.

A similar case came to light recently at Narsinghpur station of Jabalpur Railway Division of West Central Railway, when a commercial inspector Satyendra Dubey stopped a vendor selling illegal food items on the platform, he called several of his other colleagues and arrested them inside the platform. He attacked fiercely and carried out a fatal attack. It is surprising that even after 48 hours of this incident, the Railway Administration, GRP, RPF have not taken any action against the accused, due to which there is tremendous anger among other employees.

Regarding the incident, it is said that on October 16, Narsinghpur station was inspected by CCI Satyendra Dubey posted at Madan Mahal station. During this time, action was taken against the illegal vendors, due to which Karthik, the operator of Seema & Sons, got angry and carried out a fatal attack on CCI Satyendra Dubey on the station platform with his 8-10 boys. Due to which he got badly injured. During this time, parcel clerk Ramnath Kalabhoot somehow saved Dubey and took him inside the parcel office, but the goons entered the parcel office and beat him again.

RPF-GRP silent, railway administration indifferent

At Narsinghpur railway station, more than 20 railway employees have written a letter to the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, taking this incident seriously and demanding to ensure the safety of all the staff posted here. The employees have warned that if the same modus operandi of illegal vendors and their goons continues then it will become difficult for the employees to work at Narsinghpur station.

WCREU demands cancellation of license of Seema & Sons, action against illegal vendors

Taking this incident seriously, West Central Railway Employees Union (WCREU) has written a letter to the Senior DCM. In the letter, Union Divisional Secretary Romesh Mishra has demanded that the serious attack on CCI Satyendra Dubey by illegal vendors and their goons be stopped. Immediate action should be taken against him and police action should be taken against its operator Karthik by immediately canceling the license of Seema & Sons. The union has warned that if such an incident is repeated then the union will be forced to take any strict action in the interest of the employees.
