Now understand the fare of the train going to your city increased

  • For example, you want to travel by Vikramshila Express train from Anand Vihar Terminal to Bhagalpur.
  • Let me tell you here, the distance between the two stations is 1209 km, of which the current fare of AC3 is Rs 1505.
  • The base fare in this ticket is Rs 1348, while in addition, it includes reservation charge 40 rupees, superfast charge 45 and total GST 72 rupees (5%). According to the calculation, for the journey of 1209 km, now you will have to pay Rs 24.18 more in the base fair according to a growth of 2 paise per kilometer.
  • That is, now the new base fair will be 1348 + 24.18 rupees = 1372.18 rupees.
  • Now at Rs 1372.18 at the base fair, the Reservation Charge will have to be paid Rs 40 + Superfast charge 45, which is connected to Rs 1457.18.
  • Now you have to pay 5 percent GST at Rs 1457.18, which according to calculation, is Rs 72.859.
  • That is, in the end, now the total new fare will be 1457.18 + 72.859 = 1530.039 rupees or Rs 1530 in round figure.

These things related to rent have not changed

Do understand one thing, reservation fees, superfast surcharge and other fees will remain unchanged. Also, GST will continue to be imposed as per the applied rules and the principles of rent will remain according to the existing norms. The Ministry of Railways has issued necessary instructions to all the regional railways to ensure the smooth implementation of the revised fare structure.
