Keeping in mind the convenience of passengers, Indian Railways will run 150 new trains across the country. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has shared this information. The Railway Minister said that 50 new Namo Bharat Trains, 100 new MEMU trains and 50 new Amrit Bharat Trains will be run in these trains. The running of these trains will increase the facility of movement for people. The Railway Minister gave this information on the occasion of departing the goods train from India’s biggest shift multi -model cargo terminal on Tuesday from Manesar in Haryana. The minister said that a campaign was launched to increase general coaches in two to two and a half years. Today, this work has come to the level that more than 1200 general coaches have been extended in the railway in a year.

Decision to build 50 new Namo Bharat train

According to the news, the Railway Minister said on the occasion that the Namo Bharat train running between Ahmedabad-Bhuj and Jayanagar-Patna is getting good response. Now it has been decided to build 50 new Namo Bharat train. He said that when the new passenger vehicles land on the track, all the passengers will get a lot of benefit from it. The Railway Minister said that 100 main line EMU (MEMU) will be made to upgrade passenger vehicles. It will be of 16 and 20 coaches. Currently, Memu is made of 8 or 12 coaches. This will benefit greatly in short distance trips. A new factory is being built in Kazipet for the construction of these trains.

What did the minister say at Amrit Bharat Station?

The Railway Minister said that 1300 Amrit Bharat stations are being built. About 7 earlier were ready and when 103 stations were ready, the Prime Minister inaugurated them together. In this series, 100 more stations will be ready by December. He also said that last year around 720 crore passengers traveled by train and 1,617 million tonnes of cargo were carried. FY 2024-25 was very important for Indian Railways and the country. Now the Indian Railways ranks second in the world in cargo and passenger caring capacity.

New provisions for Tatkal ticket booking

Ashwini Vaishnav also said on the occasion that a topic was raised that there are many unethical people who used to block Tatkal tickets in 1-2 minutes using bots. It was also resolved. From July 1, only KYC people will be able to take tickets and those who come on the window will have to show identity.
