CCTV cameras will be installed in trains
Indian Railways has taken a big decision to install CCTV cameras in trains to further strengthen the safety of passengers. Under this scheme, CCTV cameras will be installed in about 74,000 passenger coaches and 15,000 locomotive engines across the country. Each compartment will have four cameras installed, while each locomotive plans to install six cameras. Two cameras in coaches will be installed in entry points and shared areas.
The special feature of these high-tech cameras is that they can record high quality even in low light and provide clean footage even during high speed. This is expected to improve the monitoring system and security significantly.
