Delhi has been raining intermittently for the last few days.

New Delhi: There is a possibility of thunder and lightning in many areas of Delhi-NCR, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh with light to moderate rains in the next few hours. The Meteorological Department issued an alert on Wednesday morning stating that areas like Narela, Burari, Karawal Nagar, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Vivek Vihar in Delhi may rain. Apart from this, NCR’s Loni Dehat, Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula and Greater Noida are also expected to change the weather patterns.

Impact in Haryana and UP too

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in Narwana, Karnal, Safidon, Panipat, Gohana, Gannaur, Sonipat, Rohtak and Kharkhoda in Haryana. At the same time, Saharanpur, Deoband, Najibabad, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Kandhla, Bijnor, Khatoti, Sakoti Tanda, Hastinapur, Chandpur, Baraut, Daurala, Baghpat, Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar, Kithore, Amroha, Garhmukteshwar, Pilkhua and Hapur will also be seen in areas like Uttar Pradesh.

Weather pattern and possible impact

The Meteorological Department says that due to monsoon activism, there will be light to moderate rainfall in these areas, which will be limited to some places at the local level. Thunder and electricity along with rains can cause problems such as waterlogging on the roads, interruptions in traffic and obstruction of power supply. Especially in urban areas like Delhi-NCR, waterlogging may occur, which can cause people to have trouble in traffic.

Monsoon became fully active in North India

The monsoon has become completely active in North India. Delhi-NCR and surrounding areas have been raining intermittently for the last few days, which has reduced the temperature, but humidity and waterlogging have increased people’s problems. According to the Meteorological Department, the process of rain may continue in the region for the next few days.
