The king was killed on 23 May. However, the police were currently searching for Raja and Sonam as missing. On June 2, the search for Sonam was intensified after the king’s body was found. Sonam later surrendered in Ghazipur, UP. Two accused involved in the murder along with Sonam were also arrested. After this Raj Kushwaha was caught from Indore. At the same time, the fifth accused was arrested from Sagar. Sonam and her lover Raj gave three people betel nut for murder. The police arrested and questioned all the accused and disclosed the entire case. Now evidence is being collected. The police is trying to understand the whole incident by recruiting the scene. At the same time, other aspects related to the murder of the king are also investigating.
Three attempts to kill the king
People who reached Meghalaya on rent to kill Raja tried three times. He then succeeded in killing the king. Earlier, the accused had tried to kill the king near Guwahati, Nongriat and Weisadong Falls. Two davas (large knives) were used to kill the king.
