For the first time, the Election Commission spoke directly on the issue of intensive revision of the voter list. Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi gave clear answers. Tejashwi Yadav is asking again and again, what is the need to change the voter list three months before the election in Bihar?
The Election Commission said that the voter list is being reviewed in Bihar today, after which it will be in the whole country, had to start from somewhere. Stunning is alleging that the Election Commission wants to cut the name of 51 lakh voters of Bihar at the behest of BJP. The Election Commission said that those who died, who permanently settled in other states from Bihar, whose names have been made in two-three places, the names of foreign intruders whose names have been added to the voter list, should fake voting be allowed in their names? Will this strengthen democracy?
The Election Commission says that it is the responsibility of the Commission to repair the voter list, to cut the names of fake voters. Should the Election Commission stop to fulfill its responsibility by making noise of some people?
Rahul Gandhi is saying that he has evidence of dishonesty of the Election Commission in Karnataka elections, he will expose the commission with evidence. On this, the Commission said that a case is under consideration in the High Court, the court will also see the evidence, it would be better to wait for the court’s decision. The Election Commission did not name Rahul Gandhi, but said so much that if there was a mess in the voter list, then why no appeal was made against it? Why did not any loser of Congress apply? And now the Election Commission is being made baseless allegations about this.
Tejashwi Yadava did a big bet. Tejashwi said that if the votes of millions of people will be cut from the voter list, if this is dishonest, then what is the meaning of contesting elections? He can boycott elections, will also talk to allies on this.
Tejashwi and Rahul’s complaint was why the Election Commission does not respond. The Election Commission made it clear whose votes would be cut. Those who have died, those who have shifted out of Bihar, those who are intruders, are fake voters and those who have names in Voter List twice. No one should oppose the names of such people.
It is the responsibility of the Election Commission to cut the names of such people. If the name of a person who is alive, is not shift, is not an intruder, then he will get 30 days to register an objection. Now what else can the Election Commission do more than this?
As far as Boycott of Bihar elections is concerned. I do not think the stunning will boycott the election. In today’s circumstances, doing Election Boycott would mean an open invitation to Prashant Kishore. Giving PK an opportunity to occupy RJD land and will never let Lalu happen.
RSS with Maulanas: I met, what happened
Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh held a meeting with Imams, Maulanas, Muslim intellectuals and scholars from all over the country at Haryana Bhavan in Delhi. More than 60 Maulanas participated in this meeting. Apart from Mohan Bhagwat from the Sangh, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosbale, Sah Sarkaryavah Krishna Gopal, Ram Lal and Indresh Kumar participated. In this meeting, which lasted for about 3 hours, the Maulanas put their mind apprehensions in front of the RSS chief.
Mohan Bhagwat told the Maulanas what the Hindus have expectations from the Muslim brothers, what can happen to end the distance. All India Imam Organization Chief Imam Umer Ahmed Ilyasi said that Mohan Bhagwat is constantly trying for communal unity, both Hindus and Muslims want the country to move forward, become the world guru. The good thing has been that the Maulanas spoke openly in front of the RSS leaders. Whether it is a bulldozer action, the issue of mob lynching in the name of Govadh, the issue of Muslim businessmen, it is a matter of showing identity or a revised law of Waqf, people of Muslim society openly made their complaints. Bhagwat heard and assured that RSS would keep the mind of the Muslim brothers at every level on its behalf.
It is a positive sign of RSS with Muslim leaders. Both meet each other, try to understand each other, try to erase each other’s doubts, this is a good thing. This dialogue should also be from those leaders who have more penetration in Muslim society, there should be more recognition, along with an attempt to stop the fringe elements on both sides.
