Rajat Sharma’s Blog | Modi’s silence on Trump, is the sign of storm?
Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of India TV.
US President Donald Trump has said that the Indo-US trade agreement will move forward only when the tariff case is resolved. From August 27, Indian goods exported to the US will cost 50 percent.
There were many movements at the international level. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave the trump a bluntly reply and said that India will not compromise with the interests of the country at any cost, the interest of the farmers is paramount. Modi announced the second blow to Trump that after a few days, Russian President Vladimir Putin would come to India. On Thursday, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Putin in Moscow. Ajit Doval said that Putin’s visit to India has been decided and dates have also been decided.
The third news is that now it has also been decided that Xi Jinping, Putin and Narendra Modi will meet in China. Modi will also talk differently to these two leaders. All these news needs to be added. Trump is repeatedly threatening India by threatening tariffs, warning to end the Chinese market, but will all the three India, Russia and China together make a strategy to end America’s Dadagiri?
Putin understands that Modi supported him in his bad times. When the US surrounded Russia over Ukraine, India did not come under pressure from America. India further strengthened relationships with Russia, increased trade, bought weapons, bought crude oil. Along with this, Modi told Putin that war in today’s era is not a solution to any problem. Putin’s decision to come to India is important in this background. Ajit Doval played a big role in this.
It is true that India will harm India with 50% tariffs. Industries like Pharma and Textiles will have trouble but it is temporary. India will find a new market for its manufacturers after suffering a little harm, but Trump’s TARIFF policy will also harm American manufacturers. India is a very big market for American companies and there is a lot of concern in the US that America will have to bear the brunt if Trump spoils relations with India.
Those who know Narendra Modi, they understand that Modi does not fall into any tu-tu, main-main, he is a firm Ahmedabadi, knowing any crisis into opportunity. If China, Russia and India, troubled by Trump’s Tariff come together, will become a great power, become a superpower which will create difficulties for America’s business.
Why does Rahul not give an affidavit of allegations?
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was saying for many days how votes are being stolen in the election, he has strong evidence. Rahul had said that when they put the evidence in front, the atomic bomb will burst. On Thursday, Rahul burst the bomb, but the twine bomb came out. Rahul cited the Lok Sabha elections. In Karnataka, by showing the voter list of a assembly segment of a seat of Lok Sabha in Karnataka, the Election Commission is helping the BJP to win by making a mess in the voter list.
Rahul Gandhi said that the survey of Congress in the Lok Sabha elections was saying that the Congress would get 16 seats but got only 9 seats. So he focused on the seats where the Congress lost. The Congress lost in Bangalore Central seat by just 32 thousand 707 votes. In the Mahadevpura assembly segment seat of this seat, BJP got 1 lakh 14 thousand 46 votes more than Congress.
Rahul Gandhi alleges that the game was done in this segment. More than 1 lakh votes were stolen in this Asambali segment. Rahul Gandhi showed the voter list and claimed that votes were stolen in five ways. There were 11 thousand 965 duplicate voters in this assembly seat, that is, the names of the same voter were in many different places. There were more than 40 thousand voters whose addresses were fake. Third, fifty-fifty, sixty-sixty voters were recorded at the same address. Rahul said, 80 voters were registered at the address of a small house, while no one lives there.
The Chief Electoral Officer of Karnataka has written a letter to Rahul Gandhi, saying that the voters whose names have been alleged to have been made of disturbances about the name, address and identity should be given with the affidavit.
The kind of presentation given by Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, it may seem impressive to look from above, it can be a good spice for publicity. But there is a special process to challenge any election. And this is not a secret. Every candidate knows that an election petition has to be filed to challenge the result of any election in the High Court. To challenge the voter list, one Oath Declaration has to be filed. And Rahul did not do these two works.
The biggest thing is that the method of voting is secret. It is also secret to who voted for whom. Then on what basis can Rahul Gandhi claim that whose names he counted, he voted for BJP?
Secondly, Rahul Gandhi should complain to the Election Commission. He can tell which Voter is fake and which is real. For example, Tejashwi was in the case of Yadav. He was saying that his name was missing from Voter List and later got two Voter cards.
The most interesting thing is that Rahul Gandhi is opposing the special intensive testing of the merit list by the Election Commission in Bihar. If the Election Commission does not investigate, how will the voter list be correct? If Rahul Gandhi was found to be messed up in the list of Karnataka, there is no properly list, then how can one object to the checking of Voter List in Bihar? (Rajat Sharma)
